Pastor Maurice Lassiter is the Founder and Senior Pastor of For His Glory Ministries International.  A local ministry with a worldwide mission; Save the lost – Disciple the saved through simplistic, practical teaching and the compassionate works of Christ- so as to change lives for His glory.  He has been a licensed, ordained minister for the last 30 years.  His primary ministry focus is to teach the word of God to the lives of hurting broken people; especially to those who have suffered tremendous loss or who are experiencing insurmountable grief. 

Pastor Maurice’s ministry also has a tremendous focus on Counseling those who are struggling with, Identity Issues, Rejection, Depression, Suicidal Intervention, Pastoral Care, and Discipleship/Training.  What makes Pastor Maurice Lassiter effective in the Kingdom of God is his unique ability to convey the word of God in a practical, tangible way that releases revelation, truth, and anointing resulting in the freedom for the hearer. This unique ministry was birthed in Pastor Maurice’s life with the loss of his brother Walter Lassiter, Sister-in-law Wendy Lassiter, and his two nieces, Chanel Lassiter and Turquoise Lassiter.  They were killed when a police officer who was investigating a home burglary alarm, crashed into their family car doing 88 mph in a 25-mph zone while they were parked at a stop sign.  Just a few months after their death, Pastor Maurice had more tragic loss when his mother’s mother passed away from a sudden illness, and then his father’s mother passed away from a lingering illness a few months after that.  The Lord used these losses and his suffering to reveal great revelation into Pastor Maurice’s heart resulting in a supernatural ability to impart truth and revelation into the lives of hurting people.  

Pastor Maurice uses his ministry and counseling gifts to help those who need assistance in many areas of interest which include but are not limited to: Divorce, Loneliness, Fear, Relationship/Conflict issues, Suicidal Thoughts, and Addictions.  While working for the Calvary Counseling Center under the leadership of Dr. Emmanuel Ahia, Pastor Maurice was responsible for the development and teaching of all instructional materials associated with the ministry of “Beauty for Ashes.” (A Christian support group) During his time at Calvary Full Gospel Church, Pastor Maurice served as a member of the Calvary Full Gospel Church Christian Counseling Center, a clinical counseling center servicing the Christian and Secular Communities, under the direction of Dr. Emmanuel Ahia.

He was responsible for the development of all workshops and Support groups that were offered through the Counseling Center. Pastor Maurice has also served in the counseling ministry of “Turning Point” a Christian 12 step program designed to help those that are suffering from life-controlling issues and/or their spouses and family.  Pastor Maurice also served as the Director of the Calvary Full Gospel Church Life Groups and oversaw all Discipleship Ministries and was responsible for the development of all trainings and lessons associated with the ministry and the training and mentoring of teachers and leaders in these ministries.  Pastor Maurice has also served as the overseer of the Calvary Bible Institute, (CBI) for (6) years.  He was also responsible for the development and training of all who served as Alter Care Workers and Prayer Counselors.  Pastor Maurice and his wife Yvonne have two children, love the Lord with all their hearts, and seek to serve Him with every opportunity that the Lord provides them.
